Cons:
- This ad is insensitive as it implies that it's more important to go on holiday than to save lives. I do see though that this is meant to be tongue-in-cheek as the people on fire in the picture seem oblivious that they are on fire.
- I don't think people seeing this ad will be motivated to go on a holiday as it doesn't appeal to your senses
- The dark and dreary feel doesn't fit with the idea of travelling and fun
Pros:
- The copywriting and the design complement one another
- There is a clever mix of the realistic and unrealistic
Overall:
I think the idea behind this ad is pretty clever. It's trying to make people feel that work is just too crazy and hard and you need to take a break from it all and travel. However, I think it could be communicated in a better way. Maybe by somehow contrasting the monotony of work with the fun of travelling?
