Advertisement Analysis: Good 4/15 [Amnesty International]

Pros:

  • The design is really eye-catching and encourages curiosity
  • It brings across the point of a petition so well. Makes people feel empowered, that their simple action can really make a difference.
  • It encourages the idea of instant gratification. The ad conveys that signing a petition can bring fast results.
  • Including the company logo and information on the screen of the iPhone is a really clever touch
  • The bright colours used and light-hearted approach give people a feel-good mentality about signing petitions instead of pushing them to do so out of guilt.

Cons:

  • None at all!

Overall:

This ad is just so fun. After looking at it, I too am motivated to find out more about Amnesty International and sign a petition...who cares for what cause, I want to help change the world! I love how the message just makes so much sense. Looking closely at the picture, it is very believable that a simple petition can actually make a difference.
