How to do Research Without the Internet

We met at the National Library, broke up into groups and were told to do research on the History of magazines. Only books for reference, no internet. No problem, I thought.

First, we had to figure out which library to go to. The National Library houses multiple libraries on different levels, each with a different category. Thankfully, we easily made the right choice. I quickly realised how wrong I was on arriving. This library alone was huge! I browsed through some shelves, realised how futile that was and so went to do a search on the library catalogue computer.

That wasn't easy either as the search brought up mostly books that were unrelated or housed at other libraries across the island. Finally, after about an hour, I found three books that contained the info I wanted.

The conclusion? I'm full of admiration for the people who survived before the internet age! Praise God for Google!
