Advertisement Analysis: Good 2/15 [Tabasco]

Pros:

• The dark colours used evoke a sense of mystery while the bright orange used for the fire makes a strong focal point.
• The design works as the two ways it can be seen, horizontally as a volcano and vertically as a man's mouth, relate to the product. The message is that Tobasco is not just hot, but as hot as a volcano.
• The message is so clear that no explanation of the ad is needed, even without any copywriting.

Cons:

• None that I can think of!

Overall:

This is an ingenious ad that brings across a pointed message that works for the brands marketing and image. It is a great example of how you can be creative yet simple.
